19th May 2010

Today is the day when we are going home. Dad has been up the entire night and he gathered a few documents for discharging mom and me.
Dadi came in the morning along with Veena Dadi and Bua and got some breakfast.

The billing came way lower than expected. Also, the nurses and other hospital staff were very kind and co-operative throughout-God has been good to us all this while! :) Mom gave some candies to the nurses before leaving as a token of our love for them.

Just when we were ready to move out of the hospital, I could see “Daddy nanu” outside the rooms’ window. He had no clue when to see us and took a risk to come and see us in the noon. Lucky him! If he had been a little late, he would have missed the bus.

Dad took out the car and put all of our stuff in the trunk and we made a move towards home. Reached home in about an hour and half; it takes that much time to travel from Delhi to Gurgaon.

When we reached home, the electricity was out; and it was out for the past few hours! The inverter died in some time. I was feeling hot and was crying! Dadi, nani, bua and dad took turns at the fan.

Dad took me in his arms and prayed along with mom. He thanked Jesus for me and for all the mercies that He has showered on us. It felt so nice and peaceful!

Finally, the electricity was back in the evening.

Dad and mom were so excited with my arrival that they got a lot of stuff for me. See below:

(Below: Dad got this one for mom. He thought that mom would need it while he would be away at work-so sweet :) )

(Below: Chris Uncle and Heather Aunty got this for us from the US. If you look closely there are three wicks-One for daddy, one for mommy and one for me... :)  )

(Below: This is how it looks when it is lit )

Dadu came back home in the night and played with me a little bit.

I didn’t sleep that night as the electricity was again out-huh!!! Dadu has promised me to get a double battery inverter very very soon!
