Today is Saturday, 2nd October.
This day is observed as a national holiday in India in observance of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday. He is said to have brought independence to India about 63 years ago, through non-violence.
If this date would have come on a weekday, both mommy and daddy would have gotten additional day offs, but since this falls over the weekend, no additional off! But it's okay :) I m still happy they are around me.
