27th November 2010

Today is Sunday, 27th November 2010.

It's been a very fulfilling day!

In the morning, mom and dad went to drop naani to the airport. She headed back to Bangalore. I love to be with her for whatever time I get. She has been with us for the past 3 days. Fortunate are those who have the love of their naanis and daadis (as a matter of fact their grand parents) :) They kinda spoil you as well ;)

After mom and dad dropped off naani to the airport, they came back home and dozed off for sometime, before we got ready to go for Nazar didi's annual function at the "IdiscoverI" school in Gurgaon. Nazar didi and Bhavna chachi are leaving Gurgaon (probably forever) in a couple of days :( As you know, Vivek chachu has moved to outside of India and his family will join him in a couple of months. Till the time they get to do so, they'll move to Chandigarh, back to their home town. While it is good to learn that these future plans are amazing and in the best interest of everyone, we are so very well connected to the Utreja's that we get a lump in our throat when we miss them. I'll miss them all very much and wish them all the best :)

Nazar didi's function was at a place called the MP Hall in the Power grid society in Gurgaon. It was an amazingly beautiful and spacious auditorium filled with parents, grand parents and kids (what else do you expect at an annual function, eh? lol). By the time we reached, the function had already started. We were a bit late as we had to go back and pick Nazar didi's naani and maami.

Nazar didi performed astonishingly well in three songs. She has a very vibrant aura and is easily spotted as the most energized child around :) The camera was located from quite a distance, thus the pictures didn't come quite well. BTW- I enjoyed the show throughly by clapping hands and flapping legs :) watching it at a distance from the balcony. I just can't wait to perform in one of these functions :)

And then... Bhavna chachi treated us at the KFC. Yes, K-F-C :) It was my first visit to the KFC; I have heard a lot about it from my parents-they are hard core carnivorous :) I was comfortably placed on the table (yeah ON the table) when Nazar didi and her cousin, Chiya were seated in their high chairs! It won't be long enough before I get into one of these high chairs :)

All the people in our group literally HOGGED the chicken as I politely watched them in action. I don't anticipate it long before you see my pictures munching a chicken leg piece ;)

On our way back home, dad stopped at a Maruti showroom to inquire about a new car. If God willing, we'll be buying a new bigger car soon.

We came home in the evening and it was almost dark; and all of us were damn tired.

Dad went to bed as I played with mom and the rest of the others.

Had a fun filled day. Thank you Jesus :)

[It's me, Nozu didi and Chiya]
[One more time :)]

[Do you see how "glamorous" Nozu didi is looking just after her performance? Don't miss out the make up ;)]

[That's all of them in one go... :)]

[Mom captured this when dad and I were thoroughly enjoying the performance from the balcony]

[Dad took out this bubble maker for the first time.. I hope you see me surrounded with the bubbles everywhere]

[The "Is anyone watching me" look :)]

[Daadi made those "super sharp" pony tails ;)]

[The "as if I care" look... ha ha]

[The "I don't know" look]

[Dad calls this picture "Kal Aaj aur Kal" pose.. lol]

[Mwah...!]

[Just outside the KFC in Gurgaon]

[Don'd miss out on my "super sharp" chhottis ;)]

[Now, that's what I am talking about ;)]

[Only mom's missing here... she is the one taking the picture. The lady in spectacles is Nazar didi's naani and the one in yellow is her maami and also chiya's mummy :)]

[And dad put on this sweet little hair band....]

[Bhavna chachi and I..]

[Ladies day out?]
