We went to Naveen Mama's marriage reception today evening. He's got married to a wonderful lady named Neha. She is not only a very good looking person but she also has a golden heart. We could feel that after our first meeting.
We were a bit delayed (as usual) in reaching the venue. Well, that's what Nani thought-but practically speaking we were among the first few to arrive. You know how usual Punjabi marriages are :) :) Dad say that people work in the PST hours (Punjabi Standard Time)
Mom looked fantabulous in a saree. And to compliment her, I was wearing a salwar kameez :) How lovely. And what about dad? Dad was dressed in simple casuals- WHY? He wasn't sure how the evening would turn up to be, so he played safe. Well, I am glad he did, because I don't remember seeing any male in Indian ethnic wear including the groom :) Dad would have been an odd man out otherwise.
The bride and groom looked stunning and elegant. Mom was able to spend some time with her extended family. It seemed that she liked the reunion. Honestly speaking, I had loads of fun. I moved around everywhere in the banquet hall. Dad gave those tired looks every now and then, because he was taking care of me almost single handedly. He didn't want to bother mom too much because first, she was meeting up with her family after a long time, so he wanted to give her some space; and second, because she was wearing a saree-which is not very easy to carry with a toddler like mine ;)
Dad had plans to eat a lot but could not as he was jostled between taking care of me and the food ;)
Here are some pictures from today. I hope you like them :)
